Winds of Transition

Sil Brook’s “Winds of Transition” is a period drama inspired by true historical events. The screenplay is inspired by the story of Lady Constance Lytton. Winds of Transition has received remarkable reviews at film festivals with over 20 Awards. It has an ensemble cast and focuses entirely on the family. That is why Festivals and Critics alike have compared it to Downton Abbey.

“Winds” is a period drama that not only tells the story of Lady Constance Lytton and her sister Lady Emily Lytton.  But it tells the story of  Lady Emily’s best friend, a mixed race nurse Lyta and the relationship she has with their brother in law Sir Richard.  She has to deal with racism and discrimination that tears the family apart.

If successful there are plans to make a sequel carrying on the story, covering Emily Wilding Davison who was knocked down and killed by the King’s horse on the Epson racecourse, at the Derby, whilst protesting about women’s right to vote.
